Cape
Wines is
based on the north (shore) side of the main road east of Girne/Kyrenia just
before the Çatalköy turn off, next to Supreme supermarket and
opposite the Lemontree Restaurant. We are generously stocked with wines from Simonsvlei, Simonsig and Van Loveren, priced to suit all pockets. We serve the Trade as well as the general public. We concentrate on our own imported stock lines, especially Simonsvlei, Simonsig and Van Loveren range of wines. Simonsvlei was established in 1945, and is a Co-Operative wine producer taking grapes from 36 farms in the Paarl region of South Africa. Today, Simonsvlei is still committed to the common goal set by one of its co-founders, Sonny le Roux, to provide “quality wines at affordable prices”. With effect from 2009 Cape Wines is now selling selected wines from Simonsig, a family business founded in Stellenbosch (near Cape Town) in the seventeenth century. Simonsig's reputation for quality is unrivaled, and we are pleased and proud to be offering these excellent wines in North Cyprus for the first time. We have now additionally started to import wines from Van Loveren, which is a winery in the Robertson area of the cape, approx. 150km east of Cape Town. We are currently offering two dry rosé wines from them as well as a fine Ruby Port. We hope and expect to expand the range of their wines that we offer over the course of the next year or so. Recently we have imported a quantity of Mateus Rosé, a slightly sparkling fruity and fresh-tasting rosé which is ideal for those hot sunny afternoons here. We offer a wide range of products for the restaurant, hotel and bar trade including beers, spirits, softs and mixers by the case-load. Cape Wines is an WHOLESALE as well as an OFF LICENCE outlet and offers free delivery for large orders. We are very competitive, aiming to be on average 5% cheaper than any where else in Girne/Kyrenia. Please keep an eye on our site as we often have special offers.
